Responsibilities:
- Overseeing banquet event setup and ensuring all details are in line with client requirements
- Coordinating with the kitchen staff and chefs to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages
- Ensuring that the presentation of food and beverages meet the hotelβs standards
- Directing banquet staff throughout the event, ensuring they provide excellent customer service
- Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints from guests in a professional and timely manner
- Monitoring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment
- Communicating with clients before, during and after the event to ensure satisfaction and to build relationships for future bookings
- Providing training and guidance to banquet staff as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in banquet or catering management
- Knowledge of various types of banquet setups and service styles
- Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with clients and staff
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Availability to work during an event, to include weekends and evenings
