Provides direct patient care to include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned patients.Β Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.Β Β
Responsibilities- Initiates and documents a written plan of care within specified timeframeΒ
- Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrates age specific competency for population of patients served.Β
- Verifies, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy (including reconciliation of medications), appropriate scheduling of tests and/or procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms.Β
- Follows medication and IV Therapy policies including patient identification, understanding about medications, administering meds and recognizing/reporting interactions 100% of the time.Β Appropriately monitors first dose medication(s) for adverse reactions.Β
- Interprets diagnostic data and takes appropriate action when indicated (i.e. notification of critical lab values to physician per hospital protocol).Β
- Performs related duties as required.
QualificationsRequired:
- Education: Associateβs degree in Nursing required.
- Experience: Each candidateβs previous clinical experience is reviewed to determine acceptable experience.
- Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:Β
- A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required.Β Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.Β
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.Β
- American Heart Association NRP required within orientation period.Β

- Experience: One year of maternal/child experience preferred.Β
