Position Summary: The SC Engagement Specialist serves as the primary BJU representative and recruiter for the territory encompassing South Carolina and, to a lesser degree and where warranted, the states that are adjacent to SC. The SC Engagement Specialist will engage primarily with the students and leadership of public/charter schools, Christian schools, and homeschool organizations with the goal of attracting and enrolling SC area students who will thrive at BJU.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Connect with and recruit Christian school, homeschool, and public school students from SC.
  • Initiate, build and maintain long-term relationships with key influencers in Christian schools, homeschool co-ops and organizations, and public schools.
  • Attend and represent BJU at recruiting events throughout SC.
  • Create, communicate and coordinate strategic events designed to draw SC area prospects to campus.
  • Be involved with off and on campus recruiting events (including but not limited to BJU Up Close, invitational sports tournaments, EDUcamps, STAND Conference, Homeschool Connect, Homecoming, AHE, and other events with a student recruitment perspective.)

    Measurements of success in this role include:

    • Number of contact cards generated by SC prospects
    • Number of applications from SC
    • Number of enrolled students from SC

      An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
