Description

Essential Functions of Job:

  • Manage/ supervise people on the account management team.Β 
  • Build strong plans to foster a high level of employee engagement.Β 
  • Lead the Account Management activity for the OEM business
  • Mentor and Direct account manager workload
  • Align and interface with the Commodity Managers from OEM purchasing
  • Lead the commercial claim and business plan activity with the customer
  • Collaborate with internal functional counterparts to support NA planning process.
  • Customer Commercial Management (Develop pricing and commercial proposals and negotiate with customer. Be intimate with customer commercial requirements and develop proposals that meet customer requirements and create value for YFAI)
  • Customer Relationship Management (Deliver customer’s information, solve customer’s problems, receive requests of information, deliver issues to related department, provide solutions, proposals, and obtain feedback)
  • Commercial Savings Planning / Negotiation (contractual LTA, Resin, etc) - Current and Future year.
  • Payment Terms Negotiation and transition plan
  • Identify, pursue, and realize commercial opportunities that improve the financial performance.Β 
  • Fulfil customer requirements to address pricing and commercial needs that include creation of customers’ price breakdown forms, tooling price breakdown forms, and various requests for information needed to support commercial issues and claims.Β 
  • Secure PO and release to internal departments; May include population of customers’ online quotation systemsΒ 
  • Negotiating of Engineering Changes (Phase 2 - 5)Β 
  • ED&D Negotiation / Purchase Order ReceiptΒ 
  • Create / Maintain Bump Chart/Maintain Directed Component Bump ChartΒ 
  • Customer Price Breakdown Form Development / Maintenance / HistoryΒ 
  • Customer Commercial Open Issues (Purchasing, SCE, CIT, Tooling, Operations)Β 
  • Account Receivables Issue Resolution (Customer Escalations)Β 
  • Service Account Management (RFQ, supply chain, plant move, etc)Β 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education LevelΒ 

  • Bachelor's Level Degree
  • Area of Study: Β  Β Β Technical Degree or BS Business / Sales / Marketing
  • Master’s Degree preferred

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

  • 10+ Minimum Years of Experience with Finance, Program management, or Sales.
  • 5 Minimum Years of Experience within automotive industry
  • 2 Minimum Years of Experience with Sales
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Knowledge of project processes, sales, and Marketing
  • Technical/commercial/sales know-how

Language Required and Preferred

  • English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)Β 
  • German or Chinese is a plus
