Similar to sales and business development, the VP builds and monitors goals, metrics,
and accountability for themselves and the division. Individuals who have a growth
mindset, develop rapport easily with others and are empathetic and active listeners will
be most successful in this role.The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the
way the University changes lives and share that impact with funders, alumni, and others.
The Vice President will have the ability to move individuals and organizations through
an investment pipeline with an understanding that while funding is the primary
investment, cultivating other resources is valuable. A background in business
development in higher education or other industries is required for this role. If you are

Key Responsibilities:
ā— Philanthropic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in
philanthropic endeavors, inspiring a culture of generosity and impactful giving
among alumni, donors, and stakeholders.
ā— Relationship Building: Cultivate and steward meaningful relationships with
alumni, donors, and community partners, fostering a sense of connection, loyalty,
and engagement with the university.
ā— Integrity and Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and
professionalism in all advancement activities, ensuring trust, accountability, and
responsible stewardship of resources.
ā— Alumni Engagement: Ensure innovative strategies to enhance alumni
engagement, involvement, and support, leveraging technology, events, and
programs to foster diverse lifelong connections with our university.
ā— Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the executive team and
colleagues within the division and across campus, leveraging collective expertise
and resources to advance institutional priorities and achieve shared goals.
