This position is for the Spartanburg Academy for Innovative Youth Leadership (SAIYL) summer program. The SAIYL program is a combined educational/work program that introduces young people to government and community engagement.
Examples of Duties
Must possess the ability and enthusiasm to work with a diverse group of young people participating in the program.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as coordination and implementation of daily plans.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to teach/instruct.
Typical Qualifications
Associate’s Required.
Experience in summer day camp, playground, camp setting, or church youth program. Ability to work with children ages 5-11 and 12-15. CPR and First Aid certification is required. Must have valid SC Driver’s License.
Supplemental Information
Job Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
This is a temporary summer position.
