Position Summary






Position:Β Engineering Co-op (January 2025 start)

Location:Β  Westminster, SC

Major:Β  Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Automotive or related)

Academic Schedule:Β  3 rotations (January - May 2025, August - December 2025 and May - August 2026)

Status:Β Full Time (40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Rate of pay:Β $20 to $22 per hour depending on class year

Summary:

Compact Automation Products belongs to the ITT family of companies. With a dedicated focus on technical solutions for specific application needs we can supply customersΒ with the latest technologies in Hydraulic Cylinders for linear motion and force, Air Cylinders for pneumatic linear reciprocating motion and Linear Actuators that can use different mediums to achieve straight line motion control. With bore sizes from 8mm to 8 inches and forces up to 5,000 pounds, our small but powerful products are some of the easiest to repair in the field. We also specialize in customizing and modifying standard cylinder designs to fit your specific application requirements.

Essential Responsibilities






  • Update Manufacturing work instruction manuals.
  • Comply with ISO and Plant procedures by reviewing and capturing changes in work instructionsΒ Β 
  • Use β€œSmartTeam” software to initiate and coordinate changesΒ Β 
  • Work with Quality, Operations Management andΒ Engineering to investigate and capture priorities and changesΒ Β 
  • Use Excel and MS Word to track and update project documentsΒ Β 
  • Capture and document new processes
  • Create production drawings
  • Maintain Bills of Material in MRP System
  • Create and execute Engineering Change Orders
  • Complete analysis of Customer applications
  • Run specific engineering projects under the direction of a Design EngineerΒ Β 
  • Perform other duties as assignedΒ Β Β 








Position Requirements






  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate and energize
  • Must have a thirst for learning and passion for solving complex problems
  • Ability to work in a combination office and assembly/machining environment
  • Must wear safety glasses and safety shoes

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Engineering program with a minimum 2.50 GPA
