Job Responsibilities

In an effort to ensure an adequate pool of adjunct faculty, Williamsburg Technical College is seeking to receive applications in various disciplines:

  • Teach college-level courses in the identified discipline to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies. Β Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses.
  • Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Β Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules.
  • Utilize learning management systems to communicate with students. Β Conducts lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities. Β Relates instruction and materials to course objectives.
  • Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignments with skill and course competency.
  • Submits grades, reports, and records in a timely manner.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A master's degree in the identified discipline, or a masters degree in any discipline and 18 graduate semester hours in the identified discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Post secondary teaching experience preferred.
