We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Massage Therapy Adjunct Instructor. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction, designing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives, and providing guidance and support to students as they develop the skills necessary to excel in the field of massage therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide theoretical and practical instruction in areas such as massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and client assessment.
Demonstrate and model proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in massage therapy.
Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and growth.
Supervise and provide hands-on guidance to students during practical sessions and clinical practice,
Assess student progress through evaluations, examinations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Identify and address individual learning needs and support students who may require it.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Harbison campus.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensed Massage Therapist with a valid license in good standing.
Minimum three (3) years of professional experience as a practicing massage therapist.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach complex concepts and techniques effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in instructional technology and incorporating multimedia resources into teaching.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a commitment to mentoring students in a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in teaching or training, preferably in a massage therapy or allied health education setting, is highly desirable.Â
