This position is responsible for managing the production operations within the manufacturing department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Maintains the SDS and OSHA regulations. Must not only make sure that employees are regularly briefed, supervised, and trained.
- Requires equipment to be maintained, upholding health, safety, environmental and security in the workplace at all times.
- Produce defect-free products, packaged correctly and accurately, from your area of responsibility to ensure product stays in stock.
- Ensure completed inventories are maintained/updated in NetSuite and relocated to proper area.
- Promote a self-sufficient production team.
- Efficient material flow in and out of department, production tracking, and production level goal setting and managing to those goals using KPI chart.
- Production scheduling and planning
- Responsible for ensuring an adequate stock of supplies and packaging for production use.
- Efficient use of employees to achieve labor utilization goals through process improvements, and workflow techniques.
- Maintain and adjust as required all plating operations for Anodizing of various product components.
- Monitors staff performance and progress motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Accomplishes manufacturing operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Level B wastewater operators permit.
- 2-5 years previous experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to conduct research into issues and products.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to effectively foster a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to interpret drawings, bills of materials and develop finished goods.
- Excellent organizational skills and must be able to multitask.
- Ability to be a team player willing to take charge or take direction.
- A positive, career driven attitude with a desire to grow with the company.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as required.
Work is performed in an operational warehouse environment, as well as some time in a typical office environment. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours. Overtime may be required.
Team members are constantly standing, walking, carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, seeing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, hearing, as well as handing paperwork. Team members will be lifting objects weighing 50 lbs. or less regularly. Cleaning material and chemicals used regularly.
