Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician

The General Maintenance Techncian will provide skilled labor for general maintenance repairs and building construction projects in assigned retail stores.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Columbia, SC area. The area of coverage is Greensville, SC to Charleston, SC.

1. Performs rough carpentry and framing including fabrication and installation of forms, doors, windows, hardware, and partitions.
2. Performs trim and finishes carpentry including molding, base details, panel and marlite finishes, countertops, shelves, and painting.
3. Performs welding/brazing using mig wire welder, oxy/acetylene torch, and arc welder.
4. Performs general building maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, floor tile and acoustical repair, masonry, and HVAC.
5. Assists service person and electricians as needed.
6. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

1. Maintain a driver's license and a good driving record.
2. Demonstrate use of hand tools, saws, drills, and welders.
3. Demonstrate the knowledge gained by 5 - 7 years general construction/carpentry experience.
4. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
5. Maintain balance on a ladder.
6. Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
