Β ATL Transportation and Logistics, an FLS Transportation services company, is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in its Anderson, SC, branch.


Responsibilities include :

  • Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability and improve efficiency by identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Schedule/Coordinate truck shipments, addressing any issues that arise during transit.
  • Audit and correct carrier freight invoices and BOLs as necessary for payment.
  • Dispatch drivers on each load with the responsibility of ensuring they arrive to pick up without issues.
  • Develop and maintain an effective Carrier Program that leads to sales growth, a quality carrier onboarding process, improve soft pricing and rating knowledge and competencies across assigned geographic areas and freight types;
  • Perform daily sourcing activities ,including targeting new carriers, negotiating and developing carrier rates, and sourcing and selecting the most efficient carriers;
  • Develop and maintain effective Carrier relationships with FLS Core Carriers to include proper carrier capability profiling (60-80 calls/day minimum);
  • Maintain the carrier database by keeping pricing and contact information current.
  • Leverage applications and TMS to maximize productivity in capacity planning, trip processing, and operational workflow.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the transportation/logistics industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current and accurately interpret industry trends;
  • A genuine passion for sales and logistics - must be a self-starter, self-directed, and highly motivated;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel,l and data entry systems);
  • Ability to positively influence culture and behavior and work effectively with all levels within the company;
