Position Description:

Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Performs duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, assisting with mobility, changing linens, and transporting or transferring patients, as required. Employees in this role hold credentials such as Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of assistive nursing procedures
• Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health, and safety practices
• Knowledge of human anatomy
• Ability to maintain attention to detail

Special Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Behavioral Health Technician
• May require Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, including CPR, AED use, and ventilations
