Overview
Under general supervision, the primary responsibility of the Claims Center Support Specialist is providing customer service to all visitors of South Carolina Education Lotteryβs (SCEL) Claims Center. Additionally, this position will provide assistance to the Claims Center Staff by reviewing player claims information, disbursing prize checks, performing clerical duties, and working with the public. This position is at-will and will not be covered by the South Carolina State Employee Grievance Procedure Act.
Abilities
The Claims Center Support Specialist Β must have the ability to (1) communicate and deal courteously and effectively with customers; (2) conduct business using knowledge of SCEL policies, regulations and procedures; (3) exercise proficiency with basic computer software applications; (4) follow directions and show attention to detail; Β (5) establish and maintain effective working relationships; and (6) be prompt and reliable.Β
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency, with 1 β 3 years of related work experience.Β
