SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

Looking for Business Analyst To Document Current Workflows And Processes Related To Agency Construction And Maintenance Projects, Analyze Them, And Present Them To Agency Management With Recommendations For Business Process Redesign And Improvement


DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• SOLICITS INPUT FROM STAFF AND MANAGEMENT IN THE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, BUDGET AND FINANCE, AND PROCUREMENT DIVISIONS TO UNDERSTAND AND DOCUMENT CURRENT WORKFLOWS AND PROCESSES RELATED TO AGENCY CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROJECTS.

• ANALYZES CURRENT WORKFLOWS AND PROCESSES RELATED TO AGENCY CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROJECTS, AND PRESENTS THEM TO AGENCY MANAGEMENT WITH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BUSINESS PROCESS REDESIGN AND IMPROVEMENT.

• DEVELOPS PROCESS FLOW DIAGRAMS, FLOWCHARTS, SWIMLANE DIAGRAMS, AND OTHER VISUAL AIDS TO ASSIST IN THE PRESENTATION OF AS-IS AND TO-BE STATES TO MANAGEMENT.

• WORKS WITH STAFF TO EVALUATE AND IMPROVE CURRENT PROCESSES, ESTABLISHING METRICS TO MEASURE PROCESS IMPROVEMENT.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• Ability To Analyze Business Operations To Determine Opportunities For Business Process Redesign And Improvement.

• Ability To Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Flowcharts, Swimlane Diagrams, And Other Graphical Aids To Document Current And Proposed Workflows And Processes.

• Ability To Conceptualize Needed Change And Initiate Appropriate Activities To Move From Concepts To Implementation.

• Ability To Make Presentations And Prepare Reports.

• 5+ Years Professional Work Experience As A Business Analyst.

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• knowledge of construction project management

• knowledge of state of south carolina rules, regulations, and procedures regarding capital improvement projects

• knowledge of agency needs and ability to interpret rules and regulations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
