Job Duties:

• The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provide services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitation or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Worker I will assist Case Worker II's with providing casework services in the area of assessment, family preservation and foster care.

• Provide or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan.

• Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills.

• Participate as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.

• Make requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records.

• Make referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca Search.

• Assist with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies and ICPC packets.

• Assist with the transportation of children.

• Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills.

• Assist with other administrative support functions to include drafting correspondence, copying, faxing and emailing; Input dictation within 30 days.

• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor. Performs shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed.

• Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

A High School Diploma or equivalent. Related experience is preferred.
