ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Β Β 

  • Compliance with all company policies and proceduresΒ 
  • Maintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, professional and ethical behavior, and work cooperativelyΒ 
  • Continually improve and upgrade the skills and knowledge of the emergency medical profession.Β 
  • Render competent patient care in both pre-hospital and inter-facility settingΒ 
  • Compliance with all applicable protocols for emergency treatment and transportation as per company policy and/or local agenciesΒ 
  • Safely operate and maintain an emergency vehicle and compliance with all laws pertaining to the operation of an emergency vehicleΒ 
  • Safely operate and maintain all equipment and tools relevant to an EMTΒ 
  • Communicate pertinent patient information to other members of the health care profession as needed within HIPAA guidelinesΒ 
  • Communicate information through the proper β€œchain of command” 
  • Compliance with local, state and regional emergency medical service operations, regulations, and lawsΒ 
  • Accurately and completely document information required by ( Company ), including EPCRs, Daily Vehicle pre-trip inspection, and Daily Equipment Inventory formsΒ 
  • Demonstrate, by attendance and documentation, compliance with ( Company ) and Department of Health requirements for continuing education and licensureΒ 
  • Submit all continuing education documentation to ( Company ) Management on a quarterly basisΒ 
  • Demonstrate physical ability to perform all tasks required in the performance of duties as an EMTΒ 
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness of ( Company ) property, including, but not limited to, vehicles, equipment, buildings and surrounding areasΒ Β

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Β Β 

  • Sit and stand for extended periods of timeΒ 
  • Walk, bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, and carryΒ 
  • Frequently lift and/or move more than 125 pounds including lifting, moving and carrying patients up and down stairsΒ Β

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Β Β 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalentΒ 
  • Completion of a EMT Basic program and acceptance for licensure in the state of employmentΒ 
  • NREMTΒ 
  • One year related experience preferredΒ 
  • Maintain current Valid Driver’s LicenseΒ 
  • Maintain, on file, current and valid EMT Basic/Intermediate CertificationΒ 
  • Maintain, on file, current and valid CPR (Health Care Provider minimum) certificationΒ 
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 poundsΒ Β
