Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of all Woodhaven-owned properties, including ISL homes and Woodhaven office buildings. The Facilities Manager will oversee repairs, maintenance, and improvements, ensuring a safe and operational environment for individuals supported, employees and visitors. The role combines some managerial responsibilities with significant hands-on work, including troubleshooting, addressing urgent repair needs, and performing preventative and routine maintenance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: High School Diploma is required. Β Facilities Manager will maintain a positive relationship with the individuals supported, their families and staff. Β Β 



ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Β 


β€’ Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the workday.

β€’ Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and assist with heavier items as needed.

β€’ Climbing: Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, and work in elevated areas.

β€’ Hand-Eye Coordination: Strong manual dexterity for using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

β€’ Repetitive Movements: Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as turning wrenches, handling small parts, or operating machinery.

β€’ Physical Strength: Capacity to perform physical tasks such as moving equipment, repairing machinery, and handling tools.

β€’ Work in Confined Spaces: Ability to safely work in tight spaces, including crawl spaces and attics, while using appropriate protective gear.

β€’ Exposure to Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet environments) depending on the maintenance setting.

β€’ Vision and Hearing: Must have good vision (with or without correction) and hearing to inspect equipment, identify hazards, and communicate effectively.

β€’ Endurance: Ability to handle long shifts, including occasional overtime and emergency call-ins, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
