Under limited supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the IT Technical Director leads core information technology operations for the College. This role oversees enterprise systems, infrastructure services, cloud platforms, networks, data centers, and system integrations in support of academic, student, and administrative functions. The Director supervises technical teams responsible for network services, data center operations, and cloud environments; establishes technical standards and priorities; and ensures services are reliable, secure, scalable, and service-oriented. The position manages technical projects, operating and capital budgets, and vendor relationships. Working in coordination with cybersecurity leadership, the Director supports security assessments and audits, implements required technical controls, and assists in remediation of identified risks. The role provides technical guidance to support institutional planning, system integration, service availability, and business continuity.
A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.
The ideal candidate will possess four (4) or more years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, including supervisory or management experience leading technical teams responsible for enterprise systems and infrastructure. Candidates should demonstrate experience planning and overseeing both short- and long-range information technology initiatives; managing technical project portfolios; and directing, reviewing, and mentoring technical personnel.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge in planning, designing, implementing, and operating complex information technology environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
