Overview

To sell and promote spirits in Knock Knock Spirits.

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits for the grocery department.
  2. Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies to maximize sales and minimize excessive inventory.
  3. Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
  4. Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to insure grocery department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
  5. Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all Guests.
  6. Discusses spirits with Guests to help them determine the best spirit for their occasion.
  7. Answers Guest’s questions concerning location, and price of merchandise.
  8. Obtain merchandise requested by guests.
  9. Hosts tasting events and training seminars with vendor representatives.
  10. Works with reps to build displays, execute displays as outlined by the merchandising planner and coordinate buy-ins with Category Manager to maximize sales and profit.
  11. Sets up advertising displays and arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
  12. Orders shelf, display and backroom inventory from spirits vendor representatives.
  13. Stocks shelves, counters and tables with merchandise.
  14. Clean shelves, counters and tables.
  15. Prepares inventory of stock as needed.
  16. Ensures that proper signage and shelf talkers are in place.
  17. Trains other Hosts on all aspects of Knock Knock Spirits.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  1. Friendly, outgoing, sales-minded personality.
  2. Comfortable describing major components of spirits.
  3. Individual must be self-motivated, trustworthy and able to adhere to all guidelines.
  4. Ability to work well with others.
  5. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
  6. Ability to lift 30lbs. consistently and 50lbs. occasionally.
  7. Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  8. Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
  9. Is familiar with laws governing sell, and purchasing of spiritous products.
  10. Must be at least 21 years old.
  11. Ability to effectively communicate with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and sales representatives.
