Job Summary:
The Lead, Sterile Processing Technician Certified will maintain a consistent high standard in the processing of instruments, patient care equipment and supplies and help assure that the department will meet or exceed the The Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements in a cost effective manner.Β They will maximize utilization of available resources and departmental operations support on assigned shift.Β The Lead will process patient charges as determined by the facility.Β The Lead will act in accordance to sterility per the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), The Joint Commission (JCAHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and state standards of practice.
