Overview: Β Geodesicx is looking for an experienced LINK-16 operator to join our team in support of the USMC Ground Communications program. Β Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing operational and technical expertise to assist in the development of New Equipment Training (NET) curriculum. Β In addition, the successful candidate will be required to participate in NET events locally, CONUS and OCONUS
Education:Β High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate
Experience:Β
- 5 years professional experience operating and/or instructing operations of LINK-16.
- Advanced understanding of Link-16/11/11B/4A/4C operational protocols, waveforms and architectures
- Experience with general network integration and protocols (IP, TCP & UPD)
- Experience operating and maintaining various ground radios such as the PRC-117G, PRC-160, PRC-163, and PRC-167 and leverage various waveforms on these radios to distribute data, voice, and TDL capabilities.
- Experience with establishing and terminating network links in accordance with mission requirements and preplanned data link setups (PDLs).
- Capable of monitoring data link performance and ensure proper integration of mission systems with no supervision.
- Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
- Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
- Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
- Individuals shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
- Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
