Job Summary:

Performs inspection and packaging of plastic parts. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Β None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

β€’ Must be able to run 3 IM machines independently after a 5 day training period.

β€’ Processes manufactured parts per job instructions, pack verified amounts, and label appropriately.

β€’ Constructs boxes for packing at assigned machine.

β€’ Visually inspects parts for defects as noted on QPM and sample boards to ensure quality parts are being packed in compliance with specified requirements.

β€’ May cut off runners with gate cutters and inspect such things as springs or screws to ensure finished part meets specifications.

β€’ Enters information on log sheets such as in-process books every two hours as quality checks are made to ensure product consistency and conformity to quality standards.

β€’ Understands production records and is able to keep accurate counts of accepted, rejected and scrapped product as noted on packing logs.

β€’ Lifts and carries boxes (up to 50 lbs.) to pallets for removal to shipping or storage. On occasion may use pallet jack to move pallets of boxes or totes.

β€’ Responsible for keeping the assigned work area well organized, clean and neat

β€’ Alerts shift supervisor of machine malfunction or scrap quantity issues.

β€’ Maintains effective working relationships with other coworkers

β€’ Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

β€’ Ability to work with coworkers in a team environment.

β€’ Ability to perform basic math calculations.

β€’ Ability to maintain and understand records and data, as well as complete required documentation.

β€’ Ability to use two and four wheeled hand trucks, pallet jacks. β€’ Successful Completion of "Fundamentals of Injection Molding" Training.

β€’ Ability to communicate, report, and work with others.

β€’ Ability to complete all needed TPM's.

β€’ Continuous mental and visual attention to production of quality products.

β€’ English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.

β€’ Ability to work overtime as required.

β€’ Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Education and Experience:

β€’ High School Diploma or GED

β€’ 0 – 6 months manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements:

β€’ Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).

β€’ Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

β€’ Requires manual dexterity.

β€’ Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.

β€’ Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.


1st Shift - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

2nd Shift- 3:30 pm - 12:00 am Shift Differential $2.50/per hour

3rd Shift - 11:30 pm - 8:00 am Shift Differential $2.00/per hour
