Every student at East Point Academy learns Mandarin Chinese and is taught about life in China, customs, celebrations and history. A bilingual brain is more alert, quicker and better able to deal with complex issues and conflict resolution. Through Mandarin immersion cognitive skills related to language and other subjects are strongly improved.

Position Overview: 

EPA is seeking a passionate, dedicated Mandarin educator looking to join our school community. We believe educators play a critical role in creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment, encouraging student growth. 

Core Academic Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with SC academic standards and learning objectives. 
• Assess, document, and analyze student progress regularly, providing feedback to students and parents. 
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, and assessments as required.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities and backgrounds. 

School & Community Engagement 

• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
• Share knowledge with supervisors and co-workers for mutual benefit. 
• Foster strong relationships with parents by engaging in parent teacher conferences.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with parents throughout the school year.
