Job Title: Manufacturing Program Manager

Location: Greenville, SC

Department: Manufacturing / Operations

Reports To: VP Operations

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple manufacturing programs from inception through completion. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, project management, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across functions.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities. Provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review project status and address any issues or concerns.
Resource Management:
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage key vendor relationships and oversee procurement of necessary materials and services.
Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to customer quality requirements.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing program management, project management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.
  • May require occasional travel to meet with suppliers, clients, or other facilities.
