Use advanced techniques such as ABC analysis, AI-driven forecasting, and demand variability modeling to manage thousands of SKUs.
Ensure FIFO compliance, reduce obsolescence, and implement tools like Kanban, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), and End-of-Life (EOL) planning.
Oversee end-to-end material management across all sites and locations.
Translate sales forecasts into actionable inventory strategies, prioritizing product fulfillment based on margin and strategic account value.
Lead SIOP/IBP processes and facilitate cross-functional meetings to align production, procurement, and warehouse activities.
Communicate proactively about risks such as material shortages or customs delays.
Track and report key inventory KPIs including turns, forecast accuracy, and lead time reduction.
Support supplier contract negotiations with a focus on reducing lead times and promoting sustainability (e.g., ethical sourcing, carbon-neutral shipping).
Build and manage a resilient supplier network, including alternate sourcing and risk mitigation strategies.
Partner with compliance teams to optimize customs processes and manage duty/tariff exposure.
Deploy Lean tools and PFEP methodology to minimize handling waste and improve material flow.
Lead warehouse automation projects, including RFID and smart storage systems.
Optimize storage layouts and support Just-in-Time (JIT) deliveries to improve operational efficiency.
Lead annual audits and weekly cycle counts to maintain >98% inventory accuracy.
Conduct root-cause analysis on discrepancies and ensure timely corrective actions.
Promote sustainability by reducing material waste, improving packaging, and tracking carbon emissions.
Align materials planning with long-term business strategies through integrated planning (18β60 month horizon).
Mentor planning team members and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field (required).
MBA or Masterβs in Supply Chain, with coursework in sustainability or renewable energy (preferred).
7β10 years of experience in inventory/materials management, with at least 5 years in automotive, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) strongly preferred.
Proven success in ERP/SIOP implementation, component lifecycle management, and supplier risk mitigation.
Experience managing BOMs, traceability, and counterfeit prevention in electronics/automotive environments.
Annual salary: $103,000 β $135,000
Bonus: Up to 15% annual bonus based on company, department, and individual performance
