1st Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday

2nd Shift 4:30 am – 2:30 pm Monday - Thursday

Overview: Β Perform visual and layout inspection. Testing and inspection of products will be performed at various stages of production process in compliance with applicable codes, standards, or other specified requirements. Places safety and environmental issues as a priority at all times. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Job Functions:

  • Understand, comply and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for following housekeeping and 5-S initiatives in the quality department.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning manufacturing quality problems.
  • Shall have a practical knowledge of assembly and fabrication production processes.
  • Demonstrable skills using various hand gages including, steel tapes, steel rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Understand English and Metric measurement schemes.
  • Shall have the skills and knowledge to establish techniques; to interpret codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable with applicable industry standards specifications and procedures.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and confers with management regarding part conformance.
  • Selects products for evaluation at specific stages in the production process for a variety of qualities including dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
  • Record test data.
  • Evaluate data and writes inspection reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; previous direct experience minimum, one to three years related experience preferred.
  • Must have ASNT Level II certification in VT and MT
  • Must pass with an 80% or better the Level II test (General exam, Specific exam, Practical exam).
  • Must be able to read blueprints and interrupt requirements
  • Shall have sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication, and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria where none are otherwise available.
  • NAVSEA experience is a plus.
