As a Nurse, LPN the primary duty is to monitor and provide medical treatment and supportive services in a medical sub-acute withdrawal management treatment setting. Under regular supervision of the Director, the incumbent works with clients to provide services on the Detox withdrawal management unit. Β Primary job duties performed include assessment of clients, to include withdrawal management screening; auditing and administering medications per standing protocols and/or provider’s orders; and providing recovery support to clients on the unit. Β

Position Logistics

  • Part-time, Working 25-hour shift days/nights, actual schedule as approved flex schedule as approved by supervisor.
  • Routinely Sunday: 6:45 PM-7:15 AM and Tuesday: 6:45 AM-7:15 PMΒ 
  • $3 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00pm-7:00am and all weekend hours Saturday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM.
  • Eligible for holiday pay
  • ESSENTIAL WORKER-Eligible for critical shift differential.Β

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESΒ 

  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.

Β 

  • Perform initial nursing admission assessments as may be required to include NAH-SAE, CIWA, COWS and nursing care plan. Β 

Β 

  • Ensure adequate and proper medication regimen is started on each client per protocol. Β Assist provider and implement orders.

Β 

  • Screen clients (telephone assessment and walk-ins) to determine if admission criteria are met and refer to appropriate level of care.

Β 

  • Pre-certify and review clients with third party payers.Β 

Β 

  • Direct ancillary staff/coordinate client care during the shift.Β 

Β 

Minimum Education and/or Experience

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; and one year of related experience and/or training are required. State LPN licensure and CPR certificate are required.Β

SC Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.Β
