Position Summary: As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program.
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients including but not limited to providing contraceptive services (at hospitals that provide contraceptive services)
Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may only be available by telephone or video consultation
Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds
Serve as the βSafety Officerβ on Labor and Delivery to ensure that all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician, have the safest possible outcomes
Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance as requested including practice coverage as requested and as safely available
Shifts:
24-hour shifts (majority)
Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models
Full-time clinicians typically work 5β9 (24-hr) shifts per 28-day block

Requirements
Board Certified or Active Candidate Ob/Gyn Physician
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site
Highly relational, able to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff)
Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
