Description

ย Step away from the retail grind and step into a role that truly mattersโ€”with weekends off.ย

Are you looking for a pharmacy environment where you can actually focus on patient care without the constant interruptions of a chaotic retail storefront? At Fetter Health Care Network (FHCN), our closed-door pharmacy allows you to practice at the top of your license. We are a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) utilizing a team-based approach to primary care.

As our Part-Time Pharmacist, you won't just be verifying prescriptionsโ€”you will be an integrated clinical partner, collaborating directly with primary care providers to optimize therapies, improve health outcomes, and serve the diverse communities of the Lowcountry.

Why Youโ€™ll Love This Role

  • Unmatched Work-Life Balance (Zero Weekends!): Get your time back. Our pharmacies are closed on the weekends, meaning you get every Saturday and Sunday off.
  • Fantastic Schedule: This is a 24-hour/week position. Our operating hours are 8:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM on Fridays, letting you kick off your weekend early.
  • Closed-Door Environment: Enjoy a focused, professional setting without the foot traffic and stress of a traditional retail pharmacy.
  • Meaningful Impact: Serve special populations and vulnerable communities, knowing your clinical expertise directly improves their quality of life.
  • True Collaboration: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our medical staff to maximize cost-effective, high-quality prescribing patterns.

ย

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Provide Coverage: Your home base will be our Summerville, SC pharmacies, and you will provide relief coverage across all four of our pharmacy locations as needed (pharmacies located in Downtown Charleston, SC; Summerville, SC; Cross, SC).
  • Dispense & Manage: Process and dispense medications accurately, safely, and efficiently while managing third-party billing and rejections.
  • Clinical Review: Evaluate and resolve potential drug therapy problems, assessing allergy concerns, and consulting directly with in-house prescribers.
  • Patient Education: Provide compassionate, high-quality counseling to patients regarding drug usage, storage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including 340B program compliance, inventory and cost management, controlled substance records, and site deliveries.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, assign tasks to, and mentor pharmacy technicians, ensuring a compliant, positive, and ethical work environment.
  • Compliance & Tech: Maintain strict compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and FHCN policies while utilizing EMR systems (such as eClinicalWorks) and pharmacy software (PioneerRx).
