The Powder Line Production Supervisor will oversee and manage the powder coating line operations, ensure adherence to quality control and safety standards, and train and supervise team members. Responsibilities include coordinating daily production activities, maintaining equipment, monitoring production output, and ensuring products meet all quality assurance criteria. The role requires strong supervisory and communication skills to lead an efficient and motivated team.Â
Primary Job Responsibilities:Â
- Supervises a variety of assembly operations to assemble sub-assemblies and products
- Experience in Powder Coating processes
- Oversees the electrical and mechanical assembly of parts and components
- Reviews assembly procedures and makes necessary changes to them to increase quality and efficiency
- Schedules assignments and acts as technical advisor to Production Floor staff
- Train new employees
- Evaluates the performance of assigned employees
- Conducts quality and time studies and generates individual quality reports
- Inputs data into Production quality data base system
- Ensures and verifies documentation is in order and understood, such as production drawings, BOM’s, work order travelers
- Performs a variety of assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies such as modules, boards, panels and cables
- Responsible for quality as related to job duties, and has the authority to address issues of quality at any level
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED; and/or minimum three years of experience in assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Must have four or more years of supervisory experience of ten or more people.Â
- Must work effectively with limited or no supervision.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to train and work well with others.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- The employee if frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk frequently, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
