Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team in Lexington. As a PT Aide, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to ensure excellent patient care and support therapeutic treatments.

  • Assist Physical Therapists in delivering patient treatments and therapeutic exercises
  • Prepare treatment areas and maintain cleanliness of therapy equipment
  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic activities
  • Monitor and document patient progress in electronic medical records
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Maintain inventory of therapy supplies and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Assist with patient transportation within the facility
  • Provide administrative support to the therapy department
  • Demonstrate proper use of therapeutic equipment to patients

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited college with APTA curriculum
  • Current state licensure
  • CPR certification
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and transfers
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekends
  • Knowledge of patient safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
