Physical Therapist

Job Description

Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals across all ages with medical conditions or health-related issues that limit their mobility and functionality. PTs assess each patient and formulate a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, restoring abilities, and preventing disability. They also focus on developing fitness and wellness programs to help maintain optimal health and physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Provide educational guidance to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation therapy.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides in the execution of treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid South Carolina PT license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent PT experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Schedule

This position follows a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with Fridays from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Occasionally, weekend coverage for acute care evaluations may be required approximately every 5 weeks.
