Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 4x10 hour position. Shifts start at either 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM and end at either 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM. The role requires one call shift per week and one call weekend every five weeks, with routine cases scheduled on Sundays.

Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the cardiac catheterization unit and is responsible for monitoring patients during surgery and recovery, as well as assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The nurse will be involved in patient prep, sedation, and post-procedure recovery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient status during and after procedures.
• Administer medications and manage sedation during procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality patient care.
• Perform catheterization procedures, including diagnostics and interventions.
• Ensure a sterile environment and uphold infection control protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about pre and post-procedure care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and certification in ACLS and BLS.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a similar setting.
• Proven skills in cardiac procedures, including catheterizations and electrical monitoring.
