The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 - $105,000 per year.Β  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary.Β  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.Β  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.

The Supply Chain Planning and Material Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and flow of materials throughout the supply chain. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting production requirements, and improving overall supply chain performance. Working cross-functionally with internal departments, the Specialist contributes to achieving operational goals through strategic planning, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute planning and scheduling strategies aligned with production schedules and customer demand.
  • Oversee materials management activities to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.
  • Analyze inventory data to detect trends, identify discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate safety stock levels to minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Promote local sourcing initiatives and supply chain flexibility to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Excellence – Analytics & Projects team to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Provide direction, support, and oversight to the materials management team.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain planning and materials management, including purchase order management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven planning and forecasting.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across functions.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a service-oriented and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with supply chain best practices and current industry trends.
  • Professional certification in the supply chain (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouses and production facilities.
  • Occasional travel may be required to other company sites or supplier locations, including international travel.
