Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehiclesΒ
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventiveΒ Β maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing,Β Β replacing filters, brake replacements, spark plugs, wheel bearings, fuel systems, and sensorsΒ
Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degree ofΒ Β damageΒ
Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conductingΒ Β inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions;Β Β replacing parts and componentsΒ
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systemsΒ
Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion controlΒ Β standardsΒ
Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairsΒ
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshootingΒ Β breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
Β Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts optionsΒ
Β Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technicalΒ Β publicationsΒ
