  • Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehiclesΒ 

  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventiveΒ Β maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing,Β Β replacing filters, brake replacements, spark plugs, wheel bearings, fuel systems, and sensorsΒ 

  • Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degree ofΒ Β damageΒ 

  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conductingΒ Β inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions;Β Β replacing parts and componentsΒ 

  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systemsΒ 

  • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion controlΒ Β standardsΒ 

  • Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairsΒ 

  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshootingΒ Β breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs

  • Β Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts optionsΒ 

  • Β Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technicalΒ Β publicationsΒ 

  • Β Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as neededΒ
