Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesΒ 

  • Pull orders, palletize, shrink-wrap, and correctly label for truck shipment or agency pick-upΒ 

  • Assist partner agencies as needed with a selection of products and bring agency orders to their vehicleΒ 

  • Pull product from cooler and freezer for agenciesΒ 

  • Weigh product as needed and ensure all required information is entered correctly on invoicesΒ 

  • Verify the accuracy of assembled agency orders before agency appointmentsΒ 

  • Rotate stock when receiving new inventory and assist with the processing of products in the Food Welcome Center and Reclamation RoomΒ 

  • Maintain the agency floor, cooler, and freezer so they are well arranged, adequately stocked, and properly rotatedΒ 

  • Maintain dry stock so that product is properly rotated and orders are being picked correctlyΒ 

  • Inspect product for damages and discrepancies utilizing the appropriate formΒ 

  • Responsible for upkeep of the warehouse and equipmentΒ Β 

  • Eliminate excessive shrink wrapping around the product – pick it up at the warehouse at the end of the dayΒ 

  • Dispose of trash as needed during and after the shiftΒ 

  • Plug in all equipment nightlyΒ Β 

Safety

  • Follow food safety standards as establishedΒ 

  • Responsible for executing all safety protocols related to the warehouse, equipment, and LCFB vehiclesΒ 

GeneralΒ 

  • Check-in with the supervisor at the beginning of the workday and throughout the workday as needed to ensure daily job duties are understood.Β 

  • Maintain excellent internal and external customer service with co-workers, partner agencies, and volunteers.Β 

  • Flexibility to work where needed – this may change daily.Β 

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceΒ 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.Β 
  • A valid SC driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.Β 
  • Four years of experience in warehouse operations and customer service.Β 
  • Resourceful approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.Β 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, and focus on producing quality work.Β Β 
  • Strong customer service focus.Β Β 
  • Ability to apply basic math concepts.Β Β 
  • Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.Β 
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies.Β 
  • Ability to complete pallet jack and forklift certification.Β 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups verbally and in writing.Β 
  • Understanding the diverse dynamics of the non-profit/social service environment.Β Β 
  • Good organizational and time management skills.Β
